Did you know on April 22, 1970, the first Earth Day brought millions of Americans together towards a common goal to work together to protect our planet?

Earth Day is now a global event and the planet’s most significant civic event each year. This day is responsible for launching the modern environmental movement! 

To assist in keeping Hollywood Beach beautiful, Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort will join Broward County Library on this Earth Day for a beach cleanup at Hollywood Beach!

Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is proud to be Three Palm Certified by the Florida Green Lodging Program. The Florida Green Lodging Program is a voluntary initiative of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection that designates and recognizes lodging facilities that commit to conserving and protecting Florida’s natural resources. The program’s environmental guidelines allow the hospitality industry to continuously evaluate its operations, set goals and take specific actions to improve environmental performance. Environmental practices focus on five areas of sustainable processes such as recycling in guest rooms, the lobby, vending or eating areas; energy-efficient lighting throughout the hotel; low-flow toilets, showerheads, and faucets; linen and/or towel reuse programs; and/or the use of green cleaners and energy-efficient electronics and appliances.
