Customized team-building experiences such as Beach Olympics, Resort Scavenger Hunt, or even a surfing contest on the FlowRider®, encourage collaboration and creates memories. Groups can also check out the sights by yacht charter or take a cruise by Water Taxi along the famed, “Venice of the Americas,” departing conveniently from 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.

Blender Bike (1-2 hours)

The Margaritaville Blender Bike team-building activity is fun, interactive, and promotes teamwork, communication, and healthy competition. So, get your team in a Margaritaville state of mind and shake things up with the Blender Bike team-building experience!

Margarita Mixology (1-2 hours)

Learn how to make the Perfect Margarita with our expert Mixologists. Your group will be split into teams. Each table will be set with ingredients to make a variety of margaritas. Each team must go to the “shopping” table and use those ingredients to make their own margarita. Depending on what the client wants, teams can either share the ingredients or provide them on a first-come-first-served basis. For groups that do the first-come-first-served option, there will be a trivia question to determine which team goes first.

The FlowRider Challenge (1-2 hours)

(1-2 hours)
Groups will compete in a series of individual challenges on the FlowRider® Double to determine the winner. In a competition similar to the game H-O-R-S-E, the participants will compete in the B-U-F-F-E-T-T challenge. The first rider sets the trick and the other players attempt to follow the same trick. The last player standing is declared the winner.

MORE FUN UNDER THE SUN

The following activities can be hosted on site through our preferred Destination Management Company. Please reach out to your Conference Service Manager for more information.

Beach Olympics (1-2 hours)

Groups will compete in a series of fun-filled and competitive challenges on the beach, facilitated by a host from the Recreation Team. Show off your skills with classic beach games such as relay and three-legged races, tug-of-war, horseshoes, hula hoop challenge, water balloon toss, titan pong, and more. The winning team will take home gold medals based on the grand total score tally at the end of all events.

Sandcastle Competition (1-2 hours)

Teams must stay within their designated spot and no sand may be added or removed. Only materials found on the beach may be used in the finished sculpture. Tools included to build your castle are: two large buckets, two small buckets, and three shovels. The Recreation Team will judge the finished masterpieces.

Scavenger Hunt (1-2 hours)

Groups will be split into teams and extra Parrot Points go to the group with the most original name. Your scavenger hunt can be customized to your liking, with teams given a list of items to complete for time. Some of the tasks may include snapping a super awesome selfie with a FlowGuard or posing in front of the giant flip flop with a flip flop.

Guided Eco Tour (1-2 hours)

The resort’s guides will escort the group through the Anne Kolb Nature Preserve and into West Lake. After taking in the beautiful scenery, the group will continue the journey to the mangrove trails. The guides will discuss the history of the area while pointing out the various wildlife and the symbiosis of the mangrove trails and its inhabitants.

Team Relay Races (1-2 hours)

(1-2 hours)
The group will paddle out from 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill to the race area. Everyone will have about 30 minutes to paddle around as a group to get comfortable with their equipment. After everyone is warmed up, the race will begin. Teams of four to 10 people will compete to race around a buoy and back to the starting line, and racers must tag their next team member before starting their lap around the buoy.

Lost Shaker of Salt (2-3 hours)

This event is truly one-of-a-kind and can accommodate smaller parties. One of the resort team members will hide “salt shakers” throughout the resort that will lead your team to solve the mystery of the lost shaker of salt. Jimmy will leave a note explaining that “someone” or “something” has stolen the secret ingredient to his Perfect Margarita, but who’s to blame? That’s for you to figure out! Throughout the resort we will have clues leading to the missing salt shaker. Beginning and ending in the meeting space, you will have an opportunity for speeches and/or presentations for your group.
